Talk on English Legal System, Courts and Trials in England and Wales by Mariana Haladj-Asminian

This session led by Mariana Haladj-Asminian, a full member of AIT, Public Service, Business and Conference interpreter for Spanish and Armenian with over 20 years’ experience training interpreters from beginner levels 2 and 3, to professional interpreting qualifications at level 6, as well as post-graduate level qualifications in interpreting.

The session will include information about:

· Sources of English Law

· Civil v Criminal Law

· Court system in England and Wales

· Criminal trials

· Civil proceedings

· Court interpreting matters and troubleshooting
