Continuing Professional Development (CPD) matters - we want to help you find the best events, courses and resources for you. Skilliga is a site listing CPD opportunities for linguists around the world, be they in Arabic, English, German or Mexican Spanish; on-site, online or hybrid; paid or free.
The information provided here is free of charge. It comes directly from organisers themselves or has been added by the Skilliga team and friends using information taken from external websites. Although Skilliga provides links to other websites, we are obviously not responsible for the content of sites other than our own. We make every effort to include events, courses and resources offered by reputable trainers and organisers; rest assured, we do not include just anything we find on the internet and are selective about what we list! However, we hope you appreciate that we do not perform any formal vetting and cannot be held responsible for the content or quality of the training opportunities listed.
This is a work in progress so please bear with us, we are constantly working on improvements.
If you have any comments or queries, please email contact@skilliga.com. We have also registered an address for our project: Skilliga, 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, since having a physical address is important for administrative purposes, e.g. newsletter.
If you’d like to contribute and add listings here yourself, please get in touch.
P.S. Why is Skilliga called Skilliga? We wanted something short, with “skill” in the name, and an internet domain that was available!
The people behind SkilligaThe Skilliga team are all unpaid volunteers:
Monika Kokoszycka, the person behind the idea and concept, is the one working on content, and responsible for liaising with trainers and visitors to the site. Tom Mleko is responsible for the frontend and backend, and it is thanks to him that the entire site actually works.
A big thank you to Louise Jarvis, Stefanie MacDonald, Andrew Marson, Alicja Okoniewska, Alberto Mesas Sainz, Jan Rausch, Bahar Çotur, Natalia Janota and Deborah Muylle for inspiration, feedback and support.
A very special thank you to the inimitable Andy Gillies, whose encouragement, feedback and help have been invaluable.
PrivacyWe respect your privacy, just as we hope other people and organisations respect ours when we browse the internet.
You can use Skilliga freely without giving any personal details such as name, address, email address, etc. You can browse the listings without registering, signing up or logging in. However, if you wish to add listings to the site, you will need to sign up and then log in every time you want to add or edit. The only details we will need from you though are your name and email address. We will never disclose your details - let alone sell them - to any marketing companies or spammers. Of course, we will delete your data if you inform us via email that you no longer wish to be a Skilliga editor.
We hope you find Skilliga helpful and useful.
Thank you.
