Explore the rich world of Spanish-language series. Each week, you'll watch a selected episode from acclaimed series like La casa de papel, Las chicas del cable, Griselda, Cien años de soledad, La Casa de las Flores or Narcos. Together, we’ll dive into the plot, characters, and cultural themes.
The aim of this course is to provide an overview of the Spanish-speaking series available on the main streaming platforms. Students will be encouraged to view a specific episode of each series and to discuss it in terms of plot, characters and themes. The tutor will provide material and answer questions to help with the understanding of spoken Spanish and cultural references.
By the end of this course you should be able to...
- Speak Spanish with more confidence and fluency
- Understand more varieties of Spanish accents
- Use a wider range of vocabulary
- Have a better understanding of Spanish and Latin American culture and history
